Do facebook automatically deletes some of the conversations after a certain period of time. Heard they delete a conversation with a lot of messages after 6 months.

I don't think so I can see groups I created in 2015 and messages in that too

nope that's not the case. i have deleted some convos from june 2016 a week ago.
