I have used TestDisk in linux. A very powerful tool. Check if it is available for Mac

Can confirm that i have had success using TestDisk on mac HFS partitions

attach your hard with windows system and use easeus recovery, its also available for mac but work well on windows, I have tried it

Ahmed Jawed i have tried this software on mac Recoverd 381 gb raw data, but the data is totally irrelevant and never seen before

It is a command line utility. Intel one will work with current macs

Ammar Ahmad Farid that's y i have mentioned to try on windows, I have recovered 500 GB of data, IT recovers most of previous deleted data, so you need to choose your relevant data before saving.

software: Minitool Power Data Recovery 7.0 Lost 400GB worth of data in the Windows 10 installation process (accidentally wiped out my entire drive with the 'clean command' through cmd in the pursuit of converting the drive to GPT) Further more, formatted and deleted the HDD two three times, because I kept making new partitions wrong (shock was there, had wiped out a hard drive of 4-5 years). All of this was done on the bootable WINDOWS 10 installation interface. Had no hope! Went on with installing Windows 10 (over wrote it, was convinced I won't be getting it back). I have been a pure android power user since past 4 years and was using a rooted nexus 5. Now I got an Iphone as a gift and decided to give it my full attention... I knew it would be quite restricting but never thought it would limit things that I consider basic functionality. Has any one worked through the following problems.. 1. My old phone Whats App backup is there on google drive (in the hidden apps) but can't be downloaded. 2. The iphone can only restore whatsapp back up from Icloud which no one uses on an android phone.
