I have got this Canon LPG geyser installed at home recently. The issue is that whenever I turn the tap on, the geyser tries to ignite by continuous sparking via batteries installed within the geyser. But, it doesn't turn on and the sparking stops after few seconds. When I turn the tap off and turn it on again, the same process is repeated but geyser won't turn on. But, if I detach the gas pipe going into the geyser and release some gas in air for few seconds and connect the pipe again and turn on the tap, the geyser starts working just fine. And, if I turn off the tap, the geyser turns off as well which is just normal behavior. But, when I turn on the tap again, the geyser won't work again until I release the gas again. Anyone has any idea what could possibly be the issue here?

I tried changing cells of mine got good quality ones and now it's working perfectly fine. So give it a try

damn it... i am also having this same exact model in one washroom and this stupid thing is happening to me as well this season... last season it was working perfectly haven't got it checked till now... off day par check karwata hoon

one more thing move the gas cylinder bit further away from the geyser.

the other model which is white in color and pure LPG based one is working perfectly fine

This is also LPG based as you can see there's a sticker on bottom right, which says LPG.

First install the lpg cylinder upside down. The gas outlet has to be on the lower side because LPG is denser than air.

local vendors provide low quality gas which has liquid in it and if you put the cylinder upside down, that liquid gonna stuck in the valves so its a no no

Cylinder should be big, should be continously on position with gas & electricity. It should be automatically operated. But problem is light. There must be a air outlet chimney upside of this unit because when small filament will continually on it will generate CO2, that's dangerous for life

I had same issue, i called geyser guy and he made on off button direct by connecting wires now its fine

Usually this happens when batteries are weak or gas pressure is low. First try to replace batteries then check the gas pressure, third but very rare is issue in ignition kit.

Batteries are new already. I'll investigate other two issues.

One issue I faced was water pressure. This happens even with geysers made for low pressure start. Geyser should be installed at least 10-12 feet below the water tank.
