What’s scope of big data in pakistan and in software industry overall? Is it worth to switch domain from mobile development(full time job) to big data(full time job)?

Big Data can mean a lot of things depending on where you get the opportunity to work. You might have to spend your days understanding and cleaning data, writing scripts, training models, mining data, interpreting results. But all these tasks are already present in other job descriptions. So why call it big data? Its just these operations on data that is large enough that you might have to worry about fitting it on a hard disk. The field is hot but good data sceintists are hard to find as it requires a lot grander skillset as compared to a sofware engineer. Its definetly worth a shot. I am studying Data Science in ITU. I have classfellows from almost all the backgrounds and most of them have 5+ years of exp in their relavant fields. Probably such type of people can answer you properly that whether this is the right time to switch or not
