"identify a specific bank" or branch? it will be same for all branches of a bank?
Will show the address of the bank's headquarters rather than your local branch. Your bank will then use your account number to get your funds to you

you need to be very very careful in providing IBAN number for money transfer. a single digit or alphabet can cause problems and money can be transferred to someone else's account.
