Assuming that StormFiber's given you a modem/router (rather the a plain vanilla modem), then you need to forward your ports from their device to your Tenda. Then, your Tenda's port forwarding will work fine.

ok so, i need to connect straight to the SF modem, call em up. configure that shiz, then do it all over again with my tenda?
sorry im pretty technically challenged
No, you wrote that you had configured the port forwarding on your Tenda already. What I'm saying is that your StormFiber is also (probably) a router, so you first need to forward the ports from it to your Tenda before your Tenda's port forwarding config will have any effect. Nutshell -- it's a two-step process and you skipped ahead to step two.
Ok sweet will try that and update

Try connecting directly to the SF router and see if the type changes. This will help you in identifing if the issue is at their end or at your end.

So when I connect directly to the SF modem, the PS4 refuses to acknowledge any internet connection, like it detects the LAN cable but no internet. Like it says "took to long to get ip"
Call them up and they'll manage to fix it
