Guys need help- I have Mac Book Pro 13.3” early 2015 model bought in August 2017 from I Store but unfortunately I dropped it while having a USB flash drive in the port and it completely damaged the USB port. However the notebook has been working fine for over two months now and still has the warranty. I have spoken to Apple US who have confirmed if I get it’s Logic Board changed from one of their Authorised Service Providers which in our Case is Future Tech it wouldn’t effect the warranty and future Apple Care. Where as Future Tech has quoted me Rs. 59,400 for the logic board to be changed. Now I would like to know if there is any other cheaper way to get it fixed or if I want to sell it how much can I sell it for ?

If it's still under warranty, take it to an Apple Authorized service center and get it fixed for free.

Oh you shouldnt have told them that. I just said my USB port was dead since I got it and never bothered about it until now, so they replaced it for free.

Futuretech sucks. Why would a whole logic board need replacement for a usb port? Just solder a new usb 3.0 port.

Actually the whole board gets replaced even by Apple. I've had the same issue repaired under Apple official warranty.

Yeah but since future tech is acting like an arse I think a local job would do fine. It's not some major repair just a usb port. Although the warranty would be void.

I got the whole board changed by future tech. My macbook was under warranty and the issue was only that my Built In Microphone wasn’t working thats it. Probably there is just 1 solution to all the problems. Change the board
