MY FIBERLINK STORY: 1. I was warned by many not to get a Fiberlink connection. However, a total of one friend I know did have a properly installed connection that gives the speed they claim. This convinced me to give it a shot (I'm in DHA, Karachi). I have Satcomm and they've been great but I was tempted by the cheap price and promised speed. 2. Newest additions to the family: The big DAC/amp is the brand new Topping DX7s (supports DSD512 native and PCM 32/768), connected to my HE-400i via a 4-pin balanced XLR Sukira cable. This is my home listening gear, VERY rich and detailed. Sample song playing is Miles Davis Sextet - Some Day My Prince Will Come in DSD256. Summary? HO LY SHIT I've yet to pair this DAC/amp with any other cans, mainly because my only other pair is the ATH-A900X with a slightly faulty cable and shitty earpads. I'll try out that can after it's revamped down the road. Overall though this is a fantastic and versatile DAC. I think the amp is ok overall, like my cans aren't being utilized to their fullest. A Happy Story I was using Connect 50 Mbps connection since last 2 years (costs a fortune every month) and it was pretty nice but the downtimes used to be very long sometimes stretching to more than 24 hours. No other fiber service was available in my area so I had no other option but to pay heavy bucks every month but more or less I was satisfied with their service. This Saturday, I came across National Broadband (powered by Cyber Net - the same company behind StormFiber) - And I found out that my area (Federal B Area) is covered by them so I signed up on their website. You have to upgrade to these packages manually as PTCL won't switch any existing 8mb,12mb,16mb e.t.c customers to these new packages. Hello Vets! My sweet 1.5 y.o. female short-haired domestic tortoiseshell kitty ran out of the house 2 weeks ago and lunged after a stray cat in our yard. We are 98% sure they did not come in contact with each other and the whole incident was only about 10 seconds. She is very active so this lunging/running was not unusual for her. She had a collar on but not a harness. Once we reached her and picked her up to bring her inside, she yelled/cried like she was in pain. Then her back legs started periodically giving out while walking. She is also walking with her back arched as if to avoid pain.
