Salim, while this group is great for everything else, I agree this ISP issue has gone out of hand. But if I can't share my opinion without being scared of a legal fiasco, what's the point of this group? I can't share how bad an LCD I bought is because I am scared Samsung will sue Me? If a 100 people are saying that Samsung LCD ain't worth it's money, should Samsung get their shit together or start a legal battle with unsatisfied customers who by the way paid for that LCD.

you receive a legal notice from the company .. you dont see those representatives threatening you on this group ... as much as i dislike fiberlink's practices in this regard ... i dont think that is fair in any way ... if a rule is being applied .. it should applied to all .. regardless of any ISP's practices outside this group ...
Faizy Farooq the practises outside this group are the result of what is going on in this group. That is the point. On a FB page a person has every right to lodge a complaint/negative review or talk about their personal point of view but if that negative review becomes the very reason a company decides to shut that person up by sending a legal notice then it is a very big deal. Then certain steps should be taken. If I am not wrong the "legal notice" (I really need to come up with a better term for that document) which was sent to Surkhail did mention that one of the reasons he was sent such a document was because of his negative reviews. Now is that fair? Keep in mind I still stand by my point of view that ALL representative of ALL organizations should be given a fair field to present their organizations BUT should not use the same field for ulterior motives.
Sid Rah Dear Sir/Miss, first of all your right that spreading violence is a big no in all forms (unless it is contact sport then it is entertainment) BUT the point is that when after many months have passed suddenly the company is taking a stand against negative reviews by sending legal notices and also remembering that a certain device was damaged twice. The legal notice regarding the said issue of the device could have been sent the first time around instead of giving a free internet connection for a month. Again if that is the strategy the company took then I respect that. But the new strategy of sending a "legal notice" (sigh I cringe when I think about that document) many months later and now using old issues which had been resolved is not professional. Also Surkhail Sohail or myself or any other person in this world has every right and let me repeat every right to form a group on Whatsapp and write what so ever on it. That is the very essence of an "invite only group / closed group". Like Fiberlink has the right to keep it's doors open after so many complaints and you have the right to represent Fiberlink on this group (yes I am fighting for your cause in that regard as long as threats of legal notices or any other kings of threats stay out of it) same is our right to have as many groups on whatsapp or messenger or any other social platform. I also happen to know for a fact that Surkhail Sohail is not being paid by any other ISP here to spread negativity regarding Fiberlink. The only reason for his and other members reviews is due to their own personal hellish experiences. Also Surkhail Sohail has never admitted to the fact that he is getting paid (IF he has then Surkhail I demand to know how high was he before such an absurd statement was made!) Honestly I am happy that you and other representatives of Fiberlink are here (I apologise if my assumption regarding you and some other members of this page of being Fiberlink employees is not true) Having multiple representatives of an organizations gives a greater access to the members to lodge complaints or ask questions about existing products/features. You have every right of being here and no one should take it away just as we have a right to be here and form Whatsapp groups (we should also not be penalized for such private groups) Lastly if an ISP representative can market the product of their company on a person's post asking about ISP related services than another user has every right to present their point of view via their personal experience, even if it is a negative feedback. People have been leaving positive views about Fiberlink as well on posts where ISP related discussions take place :) One more thing (these are my parting words) I remember the time when I was in another country and all my family had to contact me was 256 kbps while I was using 10 Mbps dedicated in a foreign land! I love the fact that our country suddenly has amazing ISPs popping up who are not only bringing competition to the table which is increasing efficiency but also bringing in better customer service practices i.e. Nayatel is a great example of this (I have personally experienced their services) Constructive dialogue is the way forward. Reach out to your customer where ever may they be and go the distance to resolve their issues. Sorry about the long post. THIS was not a personal attack on your or Fiberlink. p.s. My point of related to social media practices and rights is kind of an expert point of view :D
Dear Shahbaz ! I will end up this debate by writing few things ,firstly I need to clear no one from fiberlink insisted me to write here or I am not a paid member yeah but very satisfied customer of fiberlink and defending them voluntarily as I own this ISP. I tried so many ISPs and wasn't satisfied, as I am a freelancer and always need an uninterrupted and high speed internet so tried fiberlink and till yet getting perfect speed ( don't know what will happen in future, but damn sure it will never go less than my expectations). I never wrote against any other company ( I am not telling you to stop giving reviews as it is a right of every single person) . but observing only few guys are criticizing & targeting that particular ISP still we all know no one gives 100% uptime. Regarding legal notice what I know the entire story , surkhail did some unethical acts in past. You said he's not paid, I was thinking the same but after reading that post my doubts tends to surety. Anyhow we should obey the rules and decorum of this group instead of making propaganda. :-)

As per rule9 certain individuals have harrassed members of this group with legal action. Isn't that breaking rule9? Otherwise constant arguing about ISPs was getting slightly out of hand but then again the designated areas of the ISPs are not promoted properly. I think all of those pinned posts should be promoted so that all future users of ISPs know what they are getting into. Please remember I am talking about all ISPs here.

At the end of the day people it all comes down to the decision of the admins of the group. If they think this is a fair decision we all have to respect it as we signed up for it. If you think it's not then leave the group and make another one where your rule applies. The admin has the last word and they have been spoken.

yes. Also i have spoken with representatives of the ISPs myself and have said the same to them. That harassment of members of this group due to proper negative reviews is unacceptable

What does proper negative review even mean? They stole 6000 rupees from my cousin and if I post that here that's proper negative review? That's just the truth. If I share my experience with them so some other poor soul doesn't get scammed that's proper negative review? Why can't we use this group to prevent "tech aches" from getting that scam company?
Have they come to your cousin's house for stealing the money? You are continuously targeting inappropriate wordings, if anyone arguing you, you blamed they are harrassing? They definetly did all legal documentations and took signature on terms n conditions as I did, if any representative defending and try to resolve the issue you guys are requesting to ban or delete him. Wow!!! And who you are to judge that ISP is scam. Such type of users never be satisfied from any ISP .currently you are blaming that particular, in future you will again focusing to defame other one. So dear its my suggestion to you, give more time on other stuffs instead of targeting others. It will never help you. Come and use this platform for our actual purpose that is learning....and all!

Salim Karim well as per your new rule I am not going to indulge in the details but the strength and reach of the group was quite visible :)

Company representatives must be allowed to serve and solve problems of their respective ISP/Companies

Rarely happens in Pakistan.
Umar Gilani yes they should! I have noticed certain ISP employees immediately respond to issues being raised here and the user is happy at the quick response. BUT the point being raise here is when certain employees use feedback to legally threaten members (hilarious though just down right wrong!)

Salim This is great step I believe. Just one thing, can you please ask the representatives of ISPs in this group to confirm that if we post about our experiences and have proof for it, they won't sue us. Your word is one thing, I would still like to know if they are on board with this.
