A. That's what I would have done, but the backup is hidden in Google Drive, can't be downloaded. Can only be deleted or accesed by whatsapp on another android phone. B. That's what I would have done,but.... Reasons :p
you can copy the whatsapp data from your nexus if you still have it (please tell me you do, that's a beautiful phone). do a backup in whatsapp under chat settings, then copy the whatsapp folder from your phone's root folder in your computer. upload that to icloud. it's the same backup
nope, Icloud is also crap, uploading folders is not allowed... Plus the backup whatsapp will pick up from icloud can not be a manually uploaded one... Thats the thing with android, you can shift and move around with freedom
Bro can you please check your message requests. I've sent you dm

First off being a Nexus 5 owner myself and a pure Android fan and having been asked to troubleshoot my boss' iPhone 6 I know what you must be going through. iPhones are the most restrictive overpriced gadgets I have ever experienced! A quick search online yielded the following to access the WhatsApp backup on Google Drive: The chat backup is saved as HIDDEN DATA .To check if your chats are really backed up or not , head to Open Google Drive and log in to your Google account. If you are accessing the link from your phone, you have to tap on the Menu Button in the top left corner and then choose to use Desktop Version. 1. Click on the Gear icon in the top right > Settings > Manage Apps. 2. Scroll until you find WhatsApp in the list 3. After you see WhatsApp, wait until “Hidden app data” size comes up.

Khurram hte problem isn't that he doesn't have it. if anything he does. the problem is, and i've experienced this too, you can't download the folder from your drive, you can only restore from it. ios, being the typical proprietary shit that it is from apple, doesn't allow any other import source other than icloud. just for the sake of aksing, you do have google drive installed on the iphone right? like, maybe if it isn't there, that's why it isn't working? maybe installing it will give you the google drive option for restore? i doubt you're that oblivious if you can root a phone, but as sherlock puts it: nothing is more elusive than an obvious fact
